Ladies, have you ever noticed your spouse even stretched beside you without much after a hot love session? There is also a truth, sex is touted as an activity that can make a person sleep better because it releases a number of hormones that make you feel relaxed and sleepy.

However, why is this phenomenon of sleep after sex more common in men, while you are left to sleep, amazed while lamenting your fate. It's better, don't be angry first, it turns out there is a scientific explanation behind this.

As quoted by the Times of India, according to health experts, after reaching orgasm, usually men will experience chemical changes in their bodies. This occurs when the biochemical prolactin is released, which makes it tired and tends to sleep after an intimate session.

Unlike women, even though they have reached orgasm, they do not experience this. Instead, women will still be aroused semi-sexually and are happy to enjoy chatter about sex, even back to having sex after orgasm.

Sex itself actually makes a person feel relaxed and release the hormone oxytocin. This hormone functions to relieve anxiety and stress, making it easier to sleep after sex. In fact, this can happen to women too, it's just that their semi-aroused feelings keep them active for some time.

Back to the question of why men fall asleep after sex, another reason is that during sex and after climax, exertion and fatigue tend to reduce glycogen that produces energy in the muscles. Because women have less muscle mass, so they don't feel very lethargic after having sex.

Another possibility is when having sex with the lights off. Dark conditions like this are said to make you feel more relaxed and stress free. Because, dark signals to the body that it's time to sleep and the hormone melatonin starts your sleep cycle. Yes, this perfect trifect of prolactin, oxytocin and melatonin triggers time to sleep.
